Social Studies head North!

Social Studies ChainlinkSocial Studies continue to make waves with their new LP, Developer, climbing the CMJ charts, garnering iTunes features worldwide,  and starting to appear on year-end lists.

No better time then to make a run up to the North West for a short string of dates! The band starts with a show this Wednesday at San Francisco’s Brick & Mortar presented by Communion SF.  From there it’s on to Portland, Seattle and Olympia, wrapping with a second stop in Portland next Wednesday night.

Social Studies NW Dates

12/5 – Brick & Mortar, SF, CA

12/9 – Mississippi Studios, Portland, OR

12/10 – Chop Suey, Seattle, WA

12/11 – The Northern, Olympia, WA

12/12 – Bunk Bar, Portland, OR

And yeah, I know we say this a lot, but this band is amazing live, so if you’re on this route, drop your plans and get down to the gig! You’ll be kicking yourself if you miss it!

Social Studies ‘Developer’ LP/CD in stores now!

Social Studies - DeveloperStoked! We had a great time last Friday night at the SF Independent as Social Studies sold out one of our favorite rooms in San Francisco for their record release party (special thanks to San Franpsycho, who presented the show and just rocked it right over the top Stallone-style), and now, at last, we are pleased to report that their Developer CD and LP is OUT and IN STORES NOW!!

So yes, find your way to your local mom and pop record store to get your hands on one of these without delay. The 140 gram vinyl sounds amazing, as does the CD (thanks to engineer/producer Eli Crews, we owe you one, buddy!). Of course if there’s not a shop convenient to you, you can also find it at Amazon, but do let us suggest that if mail order is your thing, try out the Antenna Farm Store, orders ship within 24 hours and come with a limited-edition Social Studies tour poster! Find the CD or LP HERE.

Digital? Sure, we got that too. iTunes. Amazon MP3. RdioSpotify.  YES.

Still skeptical? Give this a listen. If you like guitar music, if you like rock music, if you like pop…you’re going to want to hear more. Nuff Said.
