10 Years Strong: Celebrate the Franceversary in Athens
Back in Athens, organizers are feverishly preparing for the Franciversary, the 10th anniversary of Je Suis France! This promises to be the blowout of all blowouts, as a legendary party band takes things to a whole 'nother level to celebrate 10 years of blowing minds. With shows at the Frilight on Friday the 25th and a full band jam (all 9 members) at the 40 Watt on Saturday the 25th...as well as the release of the long-awaited JSF "Death Wish" EP, Athens may never be the same. Yeah, we know you're too cool to own a TV, but get yourself over to some less enlightened friend's house next Wedneday night, April 30th to catch The Real World on MTV. Yeah, that's right, the show that introduced Puck to the world, now in it's 271st season, will be featuring "Do It Well" by Sugar & Gold as part of this week's episode. In fact, we're told that they fit the lyric of the song in with the dialogue.....hmmm, art?

The Botticellis featured in free Orchard podcast
The Botticellis continue to garner great early reviews for their debut album, Old Home Movies out on Antenna Farm May 13. Future Sounds raves "A CD I just can't stop playing....just gorgeous. Antenna Farm Records is pleased to announce the newest addition to the AF family. Hailing from the Outer Richmond in San Francisco, The Botticellis play witty and ornate power pop with spot-on harmonies that effortlessly transcends many eras of pop music; with the warm tones of Big Star and George Harrison records as a starting point, the Botticellis make pure California music that owes as much to Raymond Chandler as it does the Beach Boys.
