Singer-songwriter, guitar player, and ringleader SARAH WHITE hails from Charlottesville VA, home of Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, and the world-famous Gus Burger. With influences ranging from traditional to punk to glam, you might catch her singing a Carter Family gospel song with her duo The (All New) ACORN SISTERS, or doing a Blondie cover (wearing sequins and short-shorts of course) with her rock band the PEARLS.

After releasing two solo records on JAGJAGUWAR, Sarah put out her first record with the Pearls last year. The record, entitled WHITE LIGHT, has earned her compliments from another famous bandleader Dave Matthews:

“Sarah’s music kills me; beautifully from the ground up, no plastic. I got stuck behind a logging truck today. I was listening to Sarah. It was great.”

Sarah has shared the stage with such a variety of acts as Hall & Oates, Ben Folds Five, King Wilkie, the Hackensaw Boys, Lilys, Oakley Hall, and Loudoun Wainwright III.
