Just a heads up that the first single from Social Studies‘ upcoming album, Developer, is now available on iTunes! Terracur is one of our favorite tracks off the new album, and the description of the song from Nylon Mag captures it quite well:
“The track starts off like a Rumours-era Fleetwood Mac slow-burner, but delivers a kick to the gut about a minute in, as shimmering keyboard notes explode like fireworks over Natalia Rogovin’s soulful intonations. Which is another way of saying, we love it.”
The B-side is an exclusive to this release, a remix of Holler Boys, from 2010′s Wind Up Wooden Heart, done by the inimitable Sugar & Gold. Good stuff.
And those of you in California, don’t forget! Social Studies hits the road this week for a short set of Bay Area and Los Angeles dates. Check it:
