Dana Falconberry has definitely been keeping busy! She’s currently on a west coast tour leading up to the October release of her new LP, Leelanau, and last week, she released the first single from the album to iTunes, the gently wistful Lake Charlevoix.
This week, we have an amazing video for Lake Charlevoix, premiered by the fine tastemakers over at Spin.com.
In an interview with Spinner, Dana describes the song:
“Lake Charlevoix is a song about falling leaves, broken rocks, frozen lakes and dissolving relationships. It’s a break-up song before the break-up happened. And a love song before the love happened.”
Shot on the US/Mexico border by Falconberry’s frequent creative partner, Matt Bauer, the video takes us into the Texas outback, a backdrop that is at times lush and inviting, and other times harsh and challenging. A perfect match to this amazing cut. Check it below!
