Emily Jane White announces new LP, EU shows!

EJW - They Moved In Shadow All TogetherEmily Jane White has a new LP, her fifth, called They Moved In Shadow All Together. It’s coming in June in the US and is out now in Europe.

The title  is a play on the opening line from Cormac McCarthy’s novel Outer Dark which hauntingly depicts a group of uncanny travelers descending a hill in the Appalachian mountains.

With songs that support the antiracist struggle against police violence and that mourn the continuing epidemic of violence against women, They Moved In Shadow All Together is a tour de force that pushes both sonic and thematic boundaries.

Fans in France and Belgium can catch a handful of shows (with Foxtails Brigade‘s Laura Weinbach on bass and as solo opener!) before Emily returns to the US for stateside record release shows in June. Scroll down to check out the LP’s first single, ‘Frozen Garden‘.

Dana Falconberry Announces new LP!

Dana Falconberry & Medicine Bow - From the Forest Came The Fire

Dana Falconberry & Medicine Bow - From the Forest Came The Fire

In the 3.5 years since Antenna Farm released Dana Falconberry’s breakthough LP, Leelanau, Dana has traveled the world, played a thousand stages, and cemented the working relationship with her tight knit backing band, now awesome enough to merit a name of their own, Medicine Bow.

Following a fruitful collaboration with producer Jim Eno in 2014 that resulted in the Palmless EP, the band set to work on recording a proper LP. Dana has teamed up with stellar Austin label Modern Outsider for the release and we now have a release date: April 1.

But that’s not all, Dana and crew are headed out on a summer tour of National Parks and Monuments to celebrate the centennial of our national park system. From Dana’s site:

“We are also working on a series of really magical shows for this summer in National Parks across the country. This year is the centennial anniversary of our National Parks and we plan on celebrating with many shows in parks including Glacier, White Sands, Isle Royale, Yosemite, Crater Lake, Saguaro, and many many more.”

You can support this tour as well as get your hands on a pre-order for the LP plus a ton of other pledge-able goodies like hand-cranked chainstitched patches, custom block prints, t-shirts, and more by visiting Dana’s Pledgemusic page, HERE.

In the meantime, check out the first single from the LP, Dolomite!

Foxtails Brigade Announce New Video, New Album & Tour Dates!

The ever-industrious Foxtails Brigade have been hard at work over the last few months working in the studio with producer-extraordinaire Jeff Saltzman on a new album, their first since 2012′s Christmas release Time Is Passed and 2011′s The Bread and the Bait. “Working with Jeff has been great,” says Laura. “We’re really excited about this album.”

So far no release date yet, but the band just signed to the up and coming Oakland label OIM Records, and we should expect something shortly after the beginning of 2016. In the meantime, the band is doing a short tour of the west coast and has released a great new video for the track ”Far Away and Long Ago”. Shot in one take by drummer Dominic Mercurio, the video channels Stanley Kubrick at his atmospheric best.

Be sure to check out the band on tour as they make their way up and down the west coast.
